The installation consists of seven, monochromatic, disconnected sculptural groupings of folded and perforated paper that gradually get smaller as you look down the long over 114 feet, slightly curved first floor corridor of the Skolnick Surgical Tower at Mount Sinai Hospital, Miami Beach, FL

Detail of the smallest sculptural grouping, folded and perforated paper.

Folded and perforated paper
The installation consists of seven, monochromatic, disconnected sculptural groupings of folded and perforated paper, smallest and gradually getting larger, spanning 114 feet.

This installation consists of folded and perforated sculptural paper works and unique books inspired by Charles Deering’s writings that expressed his commitment to conservancy. He was prescient in his concern for the loss of native habitats, such as the Everglades hammock, through the influx of population and the lack of Floridians’ concern for this loss. The work reveals multiple connotations pertaining to the changing face of our world.

Folded and perforated sculptural paper work (A Place that Was), and two unique books in a nineteen foot vitrine at MIA Airport.

This is an experimental installation piece for a one-night art event in a hotel. Using a hotel room with its minimal furnishings as the basis of the piece, I collaborated with poet Susan Weiner to address a social issue that is a common occurrence within such an environment. Residue is about human connection and disconnection in the context of an affair. The viewer was invited to explore a visual treatment of the poem’s text, from the verse embroidered on the top bed sheet, to the second verse installed on the shower stall walls using human hair.
